Rode Hoed
Discover the Rode Hoed on the Keizersgracht, the largest former clandestine church in the Netherlands. Behind these facades lies a unique venue with the Oosterhuiszaal, perhaps Amsterdam’s most media-friendly hall. With its combination of grandeur and intimacy, and excellent acoustics, this hall is ideal for events with up to 450 guests. For smaller groups starting from 8 people, we also have rooms available. In addition to conferences, we can also accommodate (corporate) parties, product presentations, festivals, dinners, and meetings.
Welcome to the Rode Hoed, where history and modernity come together for unforgettable events.
Rode Hoed as a cultural venue
When you choose one of our venues for your event, you directly support arts & culture. We re-invest all profits from commercial rent into our cultural programmes. We aim to make these programmes easily accessible for everyone interested. Renowned international speakers have graced our stage, like Jung Chang, Anne Applebaum, and David Kaye. With its history as a hidden church, the Rode Hoed remains a safe haven for critical voices and curious minds.
